have loved you. Greater love has no one
than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. You are my

servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends,
for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.

Do not be deceived:
“Bad company ruins
good morals.”

but a real friend
sticks closer than a brother.

An open rebuke is better than hidden love!
Wounds from a
sincere friend are better than many kisses from an enemy.

Don’t befriend angry people or associate with
hot-tempered people,
or you will learn
to be like them and endanger your soul.

As iron sharpens iron,
so a friend
sharpens a friend.

gossip separates
the best of friends.

Ecclesiastes 4:9–12
Two are better
than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.
But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.
Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves.

strands is not quickly broken.
